Not Implemented Yet
From IGwiki
This page lists features that the developers of Imperial Galaxy have said they will implement but have not yet done.

[edit] Cards
- All duelling cards
- Duel Rematch (possibly allows a losing Prince to challenge the winning Prince without cost?)
- Decline Duel (expected to allow one to decline a duel without it counting as a loss)
- Capture Uniform cards
- Capture Deadeye Uniform (expected to be like higher-quality MekTek Field Suit pieces)
- Capture Naknuk Uniform (expected to be like higher-quality BiTek Field Suit pieces)
- Capture Sad-Eye Uniform (expected to be like higher-quality PsiTek Field Suit pieces)
- Capture Mrouzh Uniform (???)
[edit] Priests and Acolytes
Priests and Acolytes are currently not implemented in the beta test. You can receive both Priests and Acolytes but as of now they do nothing. Eventually, you will be able to "trade in" 10 acolytes for one priest. Priests and Acolytes appear to come from the following aspects (note: please confirm this, somebody else. These are mine, are there others?):
- the Emperor's Discerning Hand
- the Kindly Gardener
- the Roving Seeker
- the Emperor's Loving Heart
- the Stern Adjudicator
- the Wrathful Foe
To get a hint of what priests will be able to do, read the first chapter of A Confusion of Princes.
[edit] Familiars
While familiars do give a daily CB bonus, they do not currently have any other game effect. The developers have stated that eventually familiars will add other functionality to the game.
[edit] Enhancements
Enhancements can be received by Princes through battle but do not currently do anything.

[edit] Imperial Governor
The developers have stated that they are planning on creating companion games to Imperial Galaxy. Garth Nix wrote here (on Feb 19, 2008):
One of the follow-up games which is on the drawing board is IMPERIAL GOVERNOR, which will be about managing imperial systems and converting neutral ones. You will be able to play the same character in each game, i.e. you will have a naval rank etc for IG and a governor rank etc for IGOV.
But this is some ways off . . .
[edit] Miscellaneous
- Duelling sidearms do not have any purpose at present. However, the developers have not stated they have plans for sidearms, and since sidearms in the game are designed on the principle that the more useless sidearms are, the more prized they are, so sidearms may never have any purpose.
- Phil said on 11th March: "We originally put in the privacy option because we publish player portraits on our website, and we plan, at some point, on having a game newspaper."
- Phil said regarding duelling: "There is a rewrite of the duel system (like just about everything else) that has been on the agenda for some time now. It just hasn't, even now, made it to the top of the pile."
[edit] Recently implemented
This section lists items that used to be above, but have since been implemented. It's not meant as a changelog of the entire game, just a list of thing we used to know as unimplemented and which now are functional.
[edit] Cards
- Transfer Command (formerly known as Appoint 2IC for "Appoint Second-in-Command"): allows Princes to transfer their command positions to one of their immediate sub-commanders; the Princes trade places, and their ranks are adjusted up or down automatically. Implemented on 28th February 2008.
[edit] Contagion
- Survey expiry, a stepping-stone to contagion, was implemented on 11th March 2008.
- Contagion has started - enemies go on the offensive (instead of being static and never counterattacking, as they used to do). An enemy system can increase in rank, and fully-pacified systems near enemy systems can become unpacified. It is advisable to destroy all enemies in your home sector and adjacent sectors, otherwise the sectors will become more restive and you will lose CB bonuses.
[edit] Medals
Medals change based on how many times you receive them.
