A fleet is a group of two or more Princes who enter battles together. One Prince is in overall command of a fleet, and directs the full strength of that fleet in Fleet Battles using his or her Command Bandwidth. Each Prince in a fleet can have up to three subcommanders. Subcommanders are princes of equal or lesser fleet rank than the commander. Subcommanders can each in turn have up to three subcommanders of their own. Larger fleets are more powerful in battle and can reduce larger enemy threats.
Fleets are called different things, flotilla, detachment, task force, sector fleet, etc., depending on the rank of the fleet commander.
The best way to advance quickly in Imperial Galaxy is to join a fleet. This allows you to participate in battles and gain cards even when not actively logged in. It also provides a network of cousins with whom you can trade, duel, socialise, and exchange favours (such as pacifying your respective systems/sectors).
