These guidelines are intended to make the Imperial Galaxy wiki more useful and easier to read, as well as keep the peace between multiple editors.

[edit] Editing existing pages

  • You should read these editing guidelines before making changes!
  • Please use the discussion link at the top of an existing page to discuss your proposed edits with the rest of the community before making major edits
  • Always make sure to summarize your edits in the Summary box below the edit box when you are changing pages. This makes it easier for other editors to review recent changes to the Wiki.

[edit] Creating new pages

  • Please use the search box to make sure the page you are considering creating doesn't exist already.
  • When creating new pages, please put a descriptive sentence at the top, then use headings to break your page down into its major parts. this makes it much easier to navigate than just writing one monolithic block of text.
  • Respect copyrights! Do not post anything to the wiki that you did not write yourself without the author's permission. For now, this includes anything from the official Imperial Galaxy documentation. Infringing pages will be removed without notice.

[edit] Using the talk page

  • Use the talk page for each entry to discuss the content of the entry and to propose changes to the content before making changes.
  • Please make sure to sign your entries on the talk pages using four tildes like this ~~~~

[edit] Watching a page

  • If you want to be notified when a page changes, click the watch link at the top of the page. You can set your preferences to send you e-mail when your watched pages are edited.
